And Chris is supervisor for the mitigation team and helped navigate the strategy to get people on the job site as soon as he could My husband and I experienced an absolute nightmare when we discovered that the ice maker behind our second-floor refrigerator in our log canopy cabin – which had just recently been totally remodeled and furnished -had been leaking for what must have been a significant amount of time. The water had seeped through the floor, insulation, and walls, causing extensive damage throughout the house. When we discovered the problem, there was standing water upstairs and downstairs, and the ceiling in our unfinished basement was literally falling down. . Water and insulation and drywall were everywhere. It was devastating and incredibly stressful to discover the extent of the damage. Our finished basement had been newly remodeled and furnished with beautiful furniture and bedding, and unfortunately, all of it it was damaged beyond saving. Seeing something we had worked so hard to create destroyed by water and mold was heartbreaking. Our insurance company recommended that we contact SERVPRO for water mitigation, and we are so grateful we did. They arrived the very next day with their equipment and immediately began the difficult process of drying out the house, removing moisture, and taking out the damaged drywall, ceilings, insulation, and flooring. They brought in a huge dumpster to handle the tremendous amount of debris. But what meant the most to us throughout this ordeal was the care and compassion shown by Arlene and Nick. We had never experienced an insurance claim before, and we felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to expect. Arlene was conscientious, professional, and incredibly understanding. She communicated with us every day, explained what they were doing, and kept us informed about the progress. That daily communication made such a difference to us during an emotionally exhausting and uncertain time. When you are dealing with a disaster in your home, you need more than just equipment and people to do the work. You need people who understand how stressful and upsetting the situation is and who take the time to treat you with kindness and respect. Arlene and Nick did exactly that, and we cannot thank them enough. We are extremely grateful to SERVPRO of Grand Junction for their prompt response and for the professionalism and compassion of their team. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone dealing with water damage. They helped us through one of the most stressful experiences we have faced, and we will always appreciate the care they showed us when we needed it most. SERVPRO of Grand Junction made an extremely emotional experience bearable and now we’re waiting for the insurance company Chubb Agra business to determine what our benefit might be to repair the the log home cabin that we loved.
